IT Systems
Here you will find the general IT systems that you will need. You will be sent instructions for when and how to complete the IT System Training nearer to your start date.
Clinical System | Description |
CyberLab/Rad | CyberLAB - an electronic ordering system which is used to order and view Pathology and Radiology investigations for all Patients. |
EDMS | EDMS is used to scan and store patient case-notes electronically |
G2 Author | G2 is a voice recognition system used to generate dictated clinical documents. |
MAXIMS ED - Medical Core (Doctors) | MAXIMS ED is an Electronic Health Record used in A&E to document and view clinical information. |
MedChart – Prescribing | MedChart is the new Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system being deployed across Inpatient areas at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. |
NEXUS | NEXUS is the clinical system most widely used. It is a HUB of apps which allows you to manage your patients |
Departmental Induction
At the start of each placement, within the first week, you will have a Departmental Induction. This is to familiarise yourself with the clinical area, processes and your new team.
