Trust Uniform Policy

While on placement at the Trust you must adhere to the Trust's Uniform policy. Follow the link below to read through the policy.

Freedom to Speak Up

The NHS has the 'Freedom to Speak Up' policy. This is there to ensure that someone is there to listen should there be any issues you wish to raise. These issues can range from something that gets in the way of patient care or affects your working life. In the Trust we have a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian who can be contacted for any issues you wish to raise.

For more information on Freedom to Speak Up and for the contact details of our Freedom to Speak Up Guardian follow this link: Freedom to Speak Up | oneHR (bfwh.nhs.uk)

You can also reach out to the Practice Education Team for support and help with raising any issues. We also have our Medical and Clinical Education Quality Assurance Team. There are many options for you to provide anonymous feedback to them and they can then take action on the feedback they receive. For more information on how you can provide feedback to them please follow this link:  Quality Assurance | oneHR (bfwh.nhs.uk).

Code of Conduct for Students/Learners

Both the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) have published documents regarding the conduct of students on pre-registration programmes leading to professional registration.

Where professional (rather than regulatory) bodies have their own Code, students of these professionals should also be expected to have an awareness of this in addition to the regulatory body guidance.
