The Resuscitation Team is part of the Acute Care Team within the Unscheduled Care Division and provide a specialist clinical service between core hours and Public Holidays, responding to all cardio-respiratory and medical emergency calls within the specialities of adult, paediatric, neonatal and obstetrics.
The team are also the clinical leads for Major Haemorrhage Activations and Massive Transfusion and are the subject specialist team for Do Not Attempt Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) within the Trust.
The team also provide Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Instructor and Additional Clinical Training for all staff within our organisation and externally.
Out of hours the service is maintained by the
Acute Response Team, they are available on bleep 600.
The ACT Resuscitation Office (part of the centralised resuscitation store), located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital in between Ward 3 & 9 (clinical research).
The Clinical Lead for the service is located in the Simulation & Skills Centre on the 2nd floor of the main hospital.
