Study Leave

You are entitled to thirty days study leave per annum, some of which will be used through in-house teaching. The budget per trainee is finite and funding is based on the costs of local courses. The process is organised centrally through your programme director

If the application is retrospective then you will need to contact the study leave team at NHS E.  

Please consult the guidelines on the study leave process and accompanying flow chart showing you the steps to follow in the Documents section below.

Please be aware that you must give a minimum of six weeks notice to your division when requesting Study Leave. If the application is retrospective then it will not be forwarded without a letter stating the reason why.
