Professional Registrations Process

  • At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment, the recruiting Line Manager should ensure that the employee provides evidence of their professional registration.
  • The manager should remind all new staff that it is the responsibility of employees to ensure that their registration with their professional body is up to date.
  • The Workforce Information Team will produce a monthly report for all professionally registered staff whose registration is due for renewal within the coming month period. This will be circulated to the relevant matrons/team leaders.
  • Failure to comply with the re-registration will result in suspension without pay until registration can be confirmed and an investigation under the Trust’s Disciplinary Procedure. Lapsed registration amounts to a breach of terms and conditions of employment and may lead to dismissal.
