Each Physician Associate student is allocated a Clinical Supervisor while on placement. It is the role of the Clinical Supervisor to:
- Oversee their placement
- Organise and oversee local induction to the specialty
- Report sickness/absence to the Medical Education team and facilitate a return to work interview
- Meet with the student three times during their placement
- Ensure learning outcomes and clinical competencies are met
- Ensure the wider multi-disciplinary team is aware of the clinical competencies of the Physician Associates
Mr Al-Idari is the Trust Specialty Training Lead for Physician Associates and his role is to provide support to the programme and to the Clinical Supervisors.
