Improving Working Lives

The Trust has recognised that finding a balance between work and home life can be difficult for its staff and has pledged its support to a government initiative called Improving Working Lives, that aims to offer NHS staff a better deal at work.

A number of flexible working patterns, welfare initiatives and family friendly policies have been introduced across the Trust to help staff improve their working lives. These include special leave for parents and carers, childcare facilities, career breaks and counselling and violence training.

The Trust achieved Practice Plus status in 2006.
