Trust to hold events as part of #DementiaActionWeek

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be holding a host of  exciting events as part of Dementia Action Week, which runs from May 20 to May 24.

Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St Annes are holding tea parties on each of their four wards throughout the week.

Their special guests include the Mayor and Mayoress of Fylde, The Mayor of Fylde Elect plus a reminisce poet and choirs.

On Thursday, May 23, there will be information stalls and tombola plus singing trio, the Bluebirds, will be performing in a garden concert from 2pm with members of the public welcome to attend.

As well as ward displays across the hospital throughout the week, Blackpool Victoria will be hosting a Dementia Action Day on Friday, May 24.

Linda Nolan will be opening the event at 11.30am and there will be entertainment from The Bluebirds and DWP Peel Park Choir.

There will also be a variety of information stalls including what living with dementia feels like through a VR headset.

Notarianni’s will be selling ice creams in the main entrance from 12 noon and the Restaurant will be serving a 1950s themed menu, also from 12pm.
