Kind hearted staff from Blackpool Victoria Hospital have donated bags of Christmas treats to charity.
For the second year running, staff from the Cardiac Specialist Nurses Team have donated bags of Christmas goodies to the local homeless charity, Streetlife.
Nurses Sarah Fishwick and Sandra Seed, delivered the gift bags to the very grateful charity workers.
The team filled 16 gift bags with a variety of items including warm hats, gloves, socks, toiletries, sweets, chocolates and other essentials. The number of bags had to be increased due to the number of items donated.
Sarah said: “ The staff at the Streetlife centre thought the nurses’ donation was a lovely gesture and that the gift bags would be very well received. The idea is gathering momentum with other staff members expressing interest in contributing next year!”
The team hope their donation will bring some Christmas cheer to those less fortunate and let them know they care.
