IRIS Advocate Educator    

£25,870 PA                            

37.5 hours per week (flexible work pattern to include evenings and weekend))

In partnership with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and IRISi interventions Fylde Coast Women’s Aid are pleased to advertise this exciting new post.

The Advocate Educator will support and provide on-going training for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA)

In addition the post holder will provide individual needs-led information, support and advocacy to patients experiencing DVA. The right applicant will provide pro-active and structured services, whilst developing personal support packages that focus on risk management and safety planning.

Previous experience of directly supporting vulnerable adults and an understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse is essential.

This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and clearance

Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to vehicle
