Come closer and listen to comic’s thoughts on NHS – #NHS70

Legendary comic, Jimmy Cricket

Legendary welly-wearing funny man Jimmy Cricket has shared his positive thoughts about the NHS in a recent interview.

Former Redcoat Jimmy, who has been a resident headline act at Blackpool’s Lyndene Hotel for the past three years, thinks the NHS should be preserved for generations to come.

He said: “It’s a humanitarian goal that every single person, race colour or creed or whatever their income, gets medical attention.

“In fact, when people go abroad and have to spend fortunes, they realise how blessed and lucky we are in this country to have the NHS.”

Jimmy shot to fame after winning London Weekend Television’s Search For A Star and was later given his own show on Central Television ‘And There’s More.’ He has been a familiar face ever since as are his catchphrases “Come here, there’s more” and “Come closer”.

Jimmy added: “Let’s keep the NHS for our children and for our children’s children.”
