Staff nominated for Unsung Hero Awards

EIGHT members of staff have been nominated for Unsung Hero awards.

The GoToJobBoard Unsung Hero Awards have been created to celebrate the often-overlooked hard work of NHS non-medical staff members and aim to highlight the amazing day-to-day work of such a deserving group of people.

The shortlist will be announced on the Unsung Hero Awards website on November 30 and the winners will be announced at the award ceremony which will be held on February 23, 2018 at The Principal Hotel in Manchester.

The nominees are from a wide range of jobs across several areas of the Trust.

They are:

Claire Kelly who was nominated by Helen Taylor in the “Ancillary Staff – Unsung Hero” award category
Caroline Dugdale who was nominated by Elizabeth Goostry in the “Admin & Clerical – Unsung Hero” award category
Janice Edwards who was nominated twice: by Fiona Verenakis in the “Life Saver Award” award category and by Lorraine Harwood & Sarah Evans in the “Admin & Clerical – Unsung Hero”
Michelle Chunger who was nominated by Maria Jennings in the “Admin & Clerical – Unsung Hero” award category
Jo Gunn who was nominated by Sasha Ronson in the “Admin & Clerical – Unsung Hero” award category
Sarah Ward – Cardiac Intensive Care Team Blackpool Victoria Hospital – who was nominated by patient Andrew Carmichael in the “Ancillary Staff – Unsung Hero” award category
Angela Wild who was nominated twice: by Catherine Graham and Kerry Bedford in the “Admin & Clerical – Unsung Hero” award category
Kath Macdonald who was nominated by Kelly Dunning in the “Ancillary Staff – Unsung Hero” award category.
