Clifton Hospital League of Friends daily newspaper service for patients got a £500 boost this month thanks to Lytham St Annes Ansdell Lodge of Masons.
The lodge’s head, David Randerson (right), is seen presenting a cheque for the donation to League chair Linda Beddows and vice-chair Pam Young.
“Our £2,000 annual newspaper bill is funded solely by donations, so the lodge’s gift is very welcome and secures a service patients value hugely,” said Linda.
The gift followed an appeal by Linda which was part of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals celebrations to mark the 75th birthday of the NHS.
