The catering team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital have been awarded a Five Star hygeine rating once again following a visit from Public Health Officers.

The Trust has achieved a five star rating for each consecutive year since the system was launched in 2010.
The visit is an in-depth lengthy audit carried out by two authorised officers from the local council to check the Trust is complying with food law/legislation.
Checks are carried out in specific areas such as:
• The fabric of the building
• Policies and procedures
• Food safety management systems in place
• Documentation
• Staff training and awareness
