We were talking about #TheGreatBTHKnit which is aiming to get 30,000 knitted and crocheted poppies for a special art installation to commemorate the World War One Centenary later this year.

You could join one of our Knit and Natter sessions at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, every second Monday of the month; or Clifton Hospital every fourth Monday of the month. Free lunch included!

- The first Monday of every month, 3.00pm,-4.30pm.
You can drop your poppies off at any of these groups too. They will then get in touch for them to be collected and brought to the hospital. You can also drop poppies off with:

Why not have your own Knit and Natter group with friends? Perhaps you know of a children’s group such as Brownies or Scouts who would like to help? Get in touch and we may be able to supply the wool.
We are also selling poppy kits on our ward trolleys and also at our reception desk in the main entrance at Blackpool Victoria Hospital (during opening hours only).
There is a designated container situated in main entrance and Outpatients main desk at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and in the reception area at Clifton Hospital, which are available to drop off completed poppies between 8.15am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday and free patterns available nearby.
Poppies can also be posted to Nigel Fort, Main Entrance, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Whinney Heys Road, Blackpool, FY3 8NR.
Everyone who gets involved will be invited to a thank you event. Poppies can be any size or pattern as long as they are red with a black centre. Please get in touch is you have any questions.
