1). Annually, for the past 10 years, please tell me how many cleaners have been employed by the trust to work at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and the Clifton Hospital.
2). Annually, for the past 10 years, please tell me how many times pest controllers have been called out to deal with rats at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and the Clifton Hospital.

1). For the Victoria Hospital site the following WTE’s were reported within the cleaning section of the Trust’s ERIC return.

For the Clifton Hospital site the following WTE’s were reported within the cleaning section of the Trust’s ERIC return. Clifton has a much reduced staff now than before due to CIP savings and through streamlining.

Between the beginning of 2018 and present, there have been 22 rat related call outs to Victoria Hospital by the pest control contractor. The disparity in figures between the period 2009-2017 and 2018 onwards is due to the improved software reporting more detailed information and better training for those responsible for inputting the data resulting in more accurate identification of pests.
