I was advised that NHS Fylde and Wyre CCG do not hold the information I requested and I was redirected by them to you, as the Provider of the service.
Therefore, under the Freedom of Information Act, would you please be able to provide answers to the following?:How many patients have received either
a) a multidisciplinary Tier 3 or
b) a Tier 4 weight management service in each of the past 5 calendar years in your CCG area?
Please list all thea) multidisciplinary Tier 3 and
b) Tier 4 obesity services that you have commissioned in the past calendar 5 years.
Do you have a list of procedures of limited clinical value?
– If yes, does this currently include eithera) a multidisciplinary Tier 3 or
b) a Tier 4 weight management service?
When were each of these added to the list of procedures of limited clinical value? How many
a) multidisciplinary Tier 3 and
b) Tier 4 weight management services have you decommissioned in each of the past 5 calendar years?
Please provide details of these.

Our Trust only holds information for the first part (a) of the first question, please see accompanying document and note .
For clarity, Tier 4 is the surgical provider of the weight management pathway, BTH do not provide this surgery. In addition to this we aren’t commissioners therefore aren’t privy to how many programmes either of the CCG’s have commissioned in the past 5 years or how many they have decommissioned. Finally procedures of limited clinical value are CCG policies that relate to what they will and won’t fund (typically surgical procedures) from providers, as such this isn’t something we are responsible for.
