Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce it has appointed a new Director of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health Professionals and Quality to the Board and Executive Team.
Bridget Lees, who currently holds a similar role at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, was successful following a robust recruitment process.
Chief Executive of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Trish Armstrong-Child said: “I am delighted that Bridget is joining the team. She has a wealth of experience and expertise and I’m confident she’ll be a great addition to the Trust and the team at BTH, as well as continuing to play a key role within Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and the Lancashire and South Cumbria system as a whole.”
An exact start date for Bridget’s tenure has yet to be finalised, but the Trust is in close liaison with Morecambe Bay to ensure a smooth transition as soon as it can be facilitated.
The current post holder Peter Murphy, who is joining East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in a similar role, will remain at the helm throughout the winter period.
