Mike has recently joined the team as Manager and has worked in pre and post graduate education for the past 15 years. He comes from an emergency medicine background - working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with an Independent Non-medical prescribing qualification, he still actively works in the pre hospital arena of operations. He holds instructor status in many Advanced Life support style courses and is an examiner and regional representative for the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh - Faculty of Pre Hospital Care. He has a keen interest in program development and is happy for individuals or groups to contact him to discuss training needs or ideas.

Clinical Skills Facilitator - Undergraduate Lead - Clare Walden, RGN, Certificate in Education, Honorary Clinical Tutor Liverpool University, ALS provider
Clare has worked for the Trust for 13 years. As a Registered General Nurse, Clare has worked in Acute Medicine as a practice development sister and a ward sister. Clare leads the undergraduate activities with regard to clinical skills and simulation, and Leads LOCAS and Formative OSCE's which are both held in the Trust.

Clinical Skills Facilitator - Simulation Lead - Mark Hatch, RN (Adult), BSc (Hons) Professional Practice, ALS provider
Mark has joined the team as Simulation Lead worked, with a background in Anaesthetics, Scrub and Post-Anaesthetic Care in Theatres for 19 years, and has worked for the Trust since 2005. He has worked as clinical mentor, Team Lead, and as part of the Theatre Practice Development Team since 2013, supporting the multidisciplinary theatre team. He has a keen interest in developing the role of simulation within the Trust to enhance all aspects of Patient Safety.

Clinical Tutor - Anne-Marie Walker, RGN, Honorary Clinical Tutor Liverpool University. ALS Provider
Anne-Marie has worked for the Trust for 18 years. As a Registered General Nurse, Anne-marie has worked in A&E and AMU both here and New Zealand. She delivers teaching on the rolling programme and facilitates on all Simulation programmes, enhancing patients safety, providing up to date evidence based teaching & simulation.

Simulation & Clinical Skills - Technical Support Officer - Kai Thwaite
Kai began working for the trust in 2015 working on the Acute Medical Unit as a Health Care Assistant. Prior to working at the Trust he worked as an offshore HUET rescue diver based at the Nautical College in Fleetwood. He now gives technical and administrative support to the department on both the rolling programme and simulation based training systems.

Practice Development Midwife - Medical Education - Carol Park, RGN, Dip Mid, BSC in Health Studies with Hons in Midwifery, Honorary Clinical Tutor Liverpool University
Carol has been a Midwife in Blackpool for 24 years, having previously qualified as an RGN in Manchester. She has worked in all departments; however her forte is Delivery Suite. Carol joined the Medical Education Team in 2013 and organises the placements and supervision for all the medical students during their Obstetric and Gynaecological rotation. She supports students during their placement by working clinically with them during their rotations.

Patrick has been a qualified Operating Department Practitioner since 2007. He has a background of working in theatres, clinical resuscitation, and has experience of working in the emergency department also. Patrick is the rolling programme co coordinator for the trust and supports simulation, undergraduate & postgraduate teaching when required.
