Shadowing time:

This year you have the opportunity to do up to 7 days of shadowing in the department where you will go for your first foundation programme placement. Shadowing is designed to put you a little more at ease when starting work on your first official day.

During Shadowing you will accompany your FY1/FY2 buddies whilst they work, meet the teams you will work with and get to grips with a standard working day.
This year you will also have the opportunity to take part in Virtual Reality Simulation with our Clinical Education Fellows. You will each get the opportunity to attend the Simulation & Skills Centre to try your hand at various clinical scenarios using our state of the art VR Suite. We are also in the process of introducing of Hololens Augmented Reality technology.
