Blackpool is the United Kingdom's largest coastal resort and is located in the north west of the country close to the Lake District. The town is
famous across the world for its many attractions including its Pleasure Beach, Golden Mile, and Blackpool Tower. However we are lucky enough to also have stunning surrounding areas including Lytham St Annes, Poulton, Wrea Green and Garstang.

Blackpool is famous for its beautiful cycle routes. There is plenty of choice to pedal along Blackpool's famous Promenade with its panoramic views of the coast or around our local parks and cycle friendly explorer routes.

Blackpool Victoria Hospital is an NHS acute hospital and comprises the major element of secondary health care within the wider combined acute and community trust that is the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  The hospital has around 750 beds and these provide care for acute medicine in its wider terms and surgical specialities, including general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, urology and gynaecology.   There is a women and children’s unit including both consultant lead and midwife lead maternity care.
