This course is an exciting opportunity to undertake a two year programme delivered in partnership with Blackpool and the Fylde College to give academic and direct vocational health skills to either gain a career within the health and social care as an allied health profession, or apply for a higher education degree.
The course is full time, which means you will attend college three days per week and undertake a work placement with the Trust to gain a minimum of 175 hours experience over the two year course.
You will gain an in depth understanding of health and social care related topics and allow you to develop your academic and writing skills to allow you to progress within your journey to employment or higher education.
This qualification provides up to 168 UCAS points and develops the knowledge and skills for all those who wish to pursue higher education or employment in health or social care settings in England.
Career options and progression – Many students gain employment in the health and care sectors. Students also apply for degrees in: professional practice in health and social care, adult nursing, paediatric nursing, mental health nursing, paramedic practice, midwifery, social work, counselling and psychotherapy, youth work, family liaison and other heath careers.
