Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit

Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit
Blackpool Victoria Hospital's Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Department is a large unit that covers many aspects of Gastroenterology.

It has a busy Endoscopy Unit, performing around X procedures a year and the unit continues to develop many new techniques in therapeutic endoscopy.

The unit has recently been extended and refurbished to provide a comfortable facility for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. The modern, high-tech equipment available allows for the most up-to-date procedures (such as Endoscopic Retrograde Chloangio-Pancreatography - ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound - EUS, Balloon Enteroscopy and Capsule Enoscopy) to be carried out on patients.

We run both inpatient and outpatient lists and emergency care via Accident and Emergency Care.
