Asthma sufferers across the Fylde coast are being given the chance to ask questions about their condition to experts via twitter.

Respiratory nurses from the Trust will be holding a twitter chat Q&A session on May 5, 2015 between 1pm and 2pm as part of an awareness day aimed at encouraging people with asthma to take control of the condition and manage their own treatment as well as they can.

Christopher Jackson (pictured on the right) is Lead Respiratory Nurse Specialist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital said: “We want to help answer questions people have that they might not want to go to their GP for. Things like are they using their inhaler properly or which to use when; what triggers it; how they can help a relative if they have an asthma attack. Those are the sorts of things we will be able to help with.”

To join the chat log in to your twitter account and ask your question to Christopher by using the hashtag #bthasthma. You can ask questions before hand and Chris will try to answer them during the conversation on the day.
