Trust’s Celebrating Success Awards judges have massive task in bumper year for nominations

The judging for the Trust’s Celebrating Success Awards is underway.

It’s going to be an enormously difficult task for the judges as the entries are of such a high standard and we’ve had a huge number of nominations.

More than 400 entries have been received with more than 150 nominations from patients.

This year our judges are: Trust Chairman, Pearse Butler; Chief Executive, Wendy Swift; Staff Side representative, Barry Casey; Public Governor, Zacky Hameed; Medical Director, Prof Mark O’Donnell, Non Executive Director, Mark Cullinan, Director of Nursing and Quality and Radio Wave Chairman, John Barnett and his wife Danielle.

The shortlist will be announced in due course and we’d like to say good luck to everyone who has been nominated.

Our judges have commented that the quality of nominations this year is exceptionally high and we are delighted so many people who have received treatment from us have taken the time to commend both clinical and non-clinical staff.

The success of this year’s entries proves the standard of care given by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is something to shout about and we thank everyone who has taken the time to put together a nomination.

Winners and runners up for each award category will be announced at the Celebration Ball at the Winter Gardens on Friday, October 6th.

The winner of The Chairman’s Award will be presented to the individual or team the Chairman feels has made the most outstanding contribution.
