THE Trust was represented on the international stage recently.
Specialist Physiotherapist, Simon Hayward and colleague Nicky Williams, were invited by Dr Tiina Anderson, a physiotherapist in Bergen, Norway; to teach a group of physiotherapists, doctors and radiologists about lung and diaphragm ultrasound in her hospital.
They also taught one doctor from St Bart’s hospital in London called Segun and two Respiratory doctors from Bergen called Anders and Erland.
Simon said: “We met Tiina at one of our teaching sessions in Blackpool. She came from Bergen to attend our course and invited us to Norway to share our knowledge.
“We are in discussions about return trips to continue the training and to work on joint physiotherapy research projects between Bergen hospital and Blackpool Teaching Hospital.’’
