The Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Health Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) are finalists in the Unsung Hero Awards which is the only national awards for non-medical, non-clinical NHS staff and volunteers.
The team provide this nationally recognised service across all the acute Trusts in Lancashire, working in collaboration and partnership to safeguard victims of sexual violence.
This clinically-effective public health approach to victims of sexual violence has continued throughout the pandemic and has assisted 450 people since the pandemic began.
The Unsung Hero Awards will be held on Friday November 12 at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.
