Trust recognises work of volunteers

The Trust held an event to recognise and commend the tireless work from the volunteers at the hospital.

A special recognition event was held in the Restaurant for the volunteers who were all treated to a buffet lunch and certificates presented by Chief Executive Wendy Swift and Chairman, Pearse Butler along with Non Executive Director, Mark Cullinan.

Voluntary Services manager Hannah Foxcroft organised the event to congratulate the volunteers.

She said:” This event is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the commitment our volunteers make to the organisation and is also a great opportunity to get everyone together.

“Everyday our volunteers make a huge different to the experience of those who enter both Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Clifton Hospital.

“This event is one of the ways that we show our appreciation for their time”.

Volunteers are also recognised by having their own category as part of the Trust’s awards, Celebrating Success. If you know a volunteer who deserves the award, nominate them here: http://fcsp.xfyldecoast.nhs.uk/C/ball2018/Pages/Application-Form.aspx
