“Our deepest sympathies go out to Yvonne and his family.’’

Earlier this year, Bobby got involved with a Trust video singing the famous Cannon and Ball theme tune, Together We’ll Be OK, in order to raise the spirits of staff, patients and visitors.

Kila Redfearn, Head of the Trust charity, Blue Skies Hospitals Fund, said: “My heart is broken by Bobby’s death.

“Bobby and his wife Yvonne were our first Patrons and instrumental in fundraising for Blackpool Victoria and Clifton Hospitals.

“In 2019 they were heavily involved in ensuring that every patient got a Christmas present that woke up in our hospitals on Christmas Day and they also played a major role in raising funds for the dementia garden at Clifton Hospital.

“Our thoughts go out to Yvonne and the family at this very sad time.

“Bobby will be dearly missed.’’
