BLACKPOOL Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s finance team has received a national quality mark.
The team has recently been accredited by the national NHS ‘Future-Focused Finance’ initiative.
The accreditation, issued by the National Finance Leadership Council, gives recognition to NHS organisations that have high standards of finance practices in place.
Level one recognises high levels of financial competence and commitment to the skills development of the finance team.
Tim Bennett, Director of Finance at the Trust, said: “We are all really pleased and proud to have achieved this level of accreditation. It’s an accolade to the whole finance team and services across the Trust who continually work in partnership to deliver the highest quality care to our patients.
“Accurate, detailed and timely financial reporting is essential to the effectiveness of the organisation. This accreditation is testimony to the hard work and exceptional professional standards displayed by team members.”
