The Trust’s Swan Team has grown with the addition of Lucy Brockhill as Support Worker for Maternity Services.

The Swan Team is the Trust’s End of Life and Bereavement Care Team.

Both Maternity and Bereavement Services have worked together to develop the new role, which will see Lucy join Megan Murry, the team’s Bereavement Nurse Specialist.

Megan said: “I am delighted to have Lucy working alongside me, for bereaved parents who may  not want to see me for bereavement support.

“Women and their partners always want accurate information on all the services that our Trust can offer at such a difficult time in their lives when their baby has died. The SWAN Suite, Chaplaincy, Bereavement office and our wonderful local groups in the community including SANDS and The Miscarriage Association, are all willing to give time and support to families on their difficult journey in grief.

“Lucy is the perfect person for this new role, and I look forward to see what positive changes this will make.”

Lucy added: “I am excited to be joining the Swan team as a Maternity Support Worker. I look forward to being part of the service and developing this new role for our families.”
