TICKETS have gone on sale for a star-studded variety show next year to raise funds for Clifton Hospital’s garden.

Comic Bobby Ball, along with his wife Yvonne and Fylde Borough Councillor Brenda Blackshaw, have arranged the event, which takes place on February 1, 2017, and are also running a raffle and auction with a host of top prizes. Raffle tickets will soon be on sale around Lytham.

The show’s comedy will be provided by Cannon and Ball, Sally Lindsay, Ted Robbins, Mick Miller, Stu Francis and Johnnie Casson plus local vocal acts Diva, Preston Musical Comedy Society, Mark Jay and Peter Antony.

Clifton Hospital has already begun work on Phase One of the garden which will provide a safe and secure space for patients, often living with complex dementia.

Phase Two will revamp the rest of the garden so that all of the hospital’s patients will be able to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.

Clifton Facilities Manager at Clifton, David Kay, said: “Staff at Clifton have worked so hard in raising money for this garden. Coupled with help from staff at Blackpool Victoria and the work of our charity Blue Skies Hospitals Fund with the Peace of Mind Appeal plus a very generous grant donation from HSBC, we can turn our attentions to Phase Two of the garden.

“It’s fantastic that Bobby, Yvonne and Brenda have put on the show in order to raise the remaining money needed for the garden’s completion.

“I do hope that the local community supports their community hospital and buy tickets for what promises to be a fantastic production.”

Tickets, priced at £20, are available from www.lowtherpavilion.co.uk or by phoning 01253 794221.
