Staff raise awareness on #WorldKidneyDay

Emma, Hannah and Laura from AMU

For #WorldKidneyDay, AMU’s Ward Managers Emma Wiper and Laura Lowther, teamed up with Clinical Pharmacist Hannah Sheridan to visit different areas of Blackpool Victoria Hospital to highlight kidney health.

Staff, patients and visitors also had the chance to win lots of kidney-shaped jelly beans by guessing how many were in the jar.

The Restaurant also got on board by promoting kidney health on their display screen.

Hannah said: “We are raising awareness for patients and staff regarding how to keep kidneys healthy and the affects that medication can have on them.”
