Sexual health Services offer free home testing kits

BLACKPOOL and Lancashire Sexual Health Services offer free home testing kits to screen for sexually transmitted infections for people of all ages via their service website.

The testing kits are available by visiting:

A short online request form is completed enabling a bespoke testing kit to be tailored towards each individual. The kit contains easy to follow instructions on how to collect samples for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV and Syphilis.  Guidance on obtaining samples and kit contents can be also be found on the website, including a video on how to take a blood sample which can be found on You Tube by following:

The testing kits are posted in discreet packaging and all postage costs are included.   Results will be given within two weeks from return postage to the patients desired contact method i.e. mobile phone, email which is chosen and confirmed on the patient online order request.

Postal kits are available for anyone over 16 years of age, living in Lancashire (Excluding Blackburn with Darwen. Anyone living within this area can call: 01254 283888)

Any person who is sexually active could be negatively affected by their sexual health decisions and may need to take precautions or access sexual health services to maintain a positive and healthy sexual life.

We provide a Confidential Sexual Health Service, including contraception options, testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted infections, advice and information.

We continue to work in clinical settings to ensure residents across Blackpool and Lancashire have access to Sexual health services,  however all our appointments are currently conducted by telephone, anyone calling will be assessed and offered further treatment should this be necessary.
