Roll up, roll up! Raffle tickets on sale for Clifton Hospital patient garden

Deni Middleton, Yvonne Ball, Bobby Ball and Brenda Blackshaw with Blue Skies’ Nicci Hayes and consultant rheumatologist, Dr Chandini Rao

Raffle tickets have been on sale on the mezzanine today, helped along by comedian Bobby Ball.

Bobby, along with wife Yvonne and Fylde Borough Councillor Brenda Blackshaw, are putting on a variety show, Let The Sunshine In, at the Lowther Pavilion next Wednesday (February 1) in aid of Clifton Hospital’s patient garden

Money raised from the raffle tickets sales are adding to funds via the hospital’s charity Blue Skies Hospital Fund to improve the garden environment at Clifton Hospital. And there are fantastic prizes to be won!

Bobby said: “It’s fantastic to be here today. People are buying tickets and I’m proud to be involved in raising money for a great cause. In fact, I’d like to do more.”

The raffle prizes include one week’s holiday accommodation in Bulgaria, a Weber BBQ valued at £350, afternoon tea at the Clifton Arms Lytham, hair and beauty vouchers plus lots more.

Fylde Borough Councillor for Fairhaven, Brenda Blackshaw, said: “It’s great to be involved with this local charity to help our local hospital in Lytham St Annes.

“The garden upgrade will help patients enjoy the outdoors as part of their recovery, so it is lovely to be able support older people across the Fylde when they need it.”

Tickets will be on sale at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in the Blue Skies office, the new shop in the outpatient department and will also be available from ward trolleys.

You can also buy the tickets at Clifton Hospital as well as at the Lowther Pavilion on February 1.

The draw will take place in the interval and after the show. Winners will be contacted if they are not in the audience.
