Bus stops are situated on Whinpark Avenue, near the Outpatient Department for Lines 2, 2C, 5 and 15, and along Whinney Heys Road, outside the Women’s Unit and close to the Lancashire Cardiac Centre for the Line 16.

Metro Coastlines operates a comprehensive network of 26 buses per hour from Victoria Hospital.

If you do not live near to one of these routes it may be possible to use another service to interchange onto a hospital bound service, particularly the 2/2C, 5 and 15, which all pass through Blackpool town centre. It is easy to interchange onto the frequent line 5 service; its hospital bound stop is sited in Corporation Street immediately adjacent to stops for Lines 6, 7, 11 and 14. The Blackpool Transport Services information shop is sited round the corner in Market Street (look for Cahoots pub), where stops for these services’ alternate direction are sited.

Train
Blackpool North is the area’s main railway station and is situated in the town centre. For rail information, to purchase tickets on line or a rail and bus journey planner call Traveline (see above).
The smaller Blackpool South Station is sited on Waterloo Road, South Shore and provides an hourly service to Squires Gate, St Annes, Ansdell and Fairhaven, Lytham and Kirkham. This service interchanges with the Line 5 service on Waterloo Road.
Taxi
There are taxi ranks in the car park outside the Outpatient Department and on Whinney Heys Road, outside the A&E Department. Fully disabled accessible taxis are available
