What is it?
The Patient Transport Service is a branch of Lancashire Ambulance service; they provide non-emergency ambulance transport to and from all the hospitals in and out of the area.
This service is restricted to patients who are unable to access the hospital via normal means of transport because of their physical or medical condition.
How to access the service
Because this service is based on medical need, it can only be accessed through your own GP. This is usually done by telephone and does not require you to attend in person.
