Stress Control overview
WEEK 1: Welcome to Stress Control: Understanding stress, normalising symptoms and understanding how the course runs.
WEEK 2: Controlling your body: How stress affects the body. The role of caffeine, exercise and relaxation.
WEEK 3: Controlling your thoughts: How stress affects thoughts and thinking your way out of stress.
WEEK 4: Controlling your actions: How stress affects our actions and facing your fears.
WEEK 5: Controlling panic feelings and Sleep: How panic affects our thoughts, actions and body-role of hyperventilation and interpretation. The sleep cycle, sleep difficulties and sleeping tips.
WEEK 6: Wellbeing, tying the course together and controlling your future: Boosting your wellbeing, five steps to wellbeing, relapse management.
Stress Control courses are FREE and usually offered in a range of community settings across Blackpool and Cleveleys. However due to the current Covid-19 circumstances, as you can’t come to a regular Stress Control class, then Stress Control will come to you via online live streaming of sessions for you to access in your own home.
Stress is a normal reaction to the rapidly changing and uncertain times we are all living in at the moment. If you are feeling a bit more stressed than usual and would like to learn some great ways to deal with common problems like anxiety, depression, panicky feelings, poor sleep and poor wellbeing, then come along to our online Stress Control class. Available online for a limited period.
