Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

The Safeguarding team is available to offer advice/ guidance/ support where there are safeguarding concerns relating to a child or adult. The team provides advice and support relating to the health needs of children looked after, and have some clinical involvement. The team also provides in-house training such as basic awareness, safeguarding children, safeguarding adults, domestic abuse, children looked after, child sexual exploitation and supervision skills. It also provides specialist health input to a number of different multi-agency teams such as the awaken team (sexual exploitation); Blackpool and Lancashire MASH, and the youth offending team.
