Role: Associate Psychological Practitioner
About: Liz is an Associate Psychological Practitioner working within Staff Support at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Liz has trained in clinical psychology through completing the PGD Associate Psychological Practitioner qualification from the University of Central Lancashire.
Liz can offer psychological assessments, develop formulations, and deliver psychologically informed, evidence-based interventions under the supervision of Dr Lorraine Potts. This includes interventions appropriate to presenting need such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, Solution-Focused approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, Compassion Focused approach, Wellbeing and mindfulness-based skills.
Role: Trainee Health Psychologist - Professional Doctorate Student
About: Lauren is a currently completing her Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.She is also listed on the British Psychological Society’s Division of Health Psychology. Before joining the team at Blackpool, Lauren has held multiple clinical NHS roles which have covered a range of specialities including; occupational health medicine, respiratory conditions, pain management, providing psychological support for doctors in training, palliative care and health and wellbeing specialities incorporating Health Psychology models and interventions to promote psychological health and wellbeing and quality of life. She is currently working within staff support and within the smoking cessation team.
