What we do
Podiatrists are health care professionals who specialise in the treatment of feet and legs. Podiatrists treat a range of foot disorders such as:
- Corns
- Callous
- Ulcers
- Biomechanical problems
- Nail surgery
The Podiatry team are key members of the Trust’s multi-disciplinary Foot Protection Service and provide specialist care in the management of medium/high risk diabetic feet.
Our Purpose
We treat, manage and prevent foot health disorders in those patients who have a recognised clinical need for our service, whilst maintaining independent living and promoting quality of life wherever possible.
The Podiatry team operate from 17 sites across Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre and North Lancashire insuring services are delivered providing local care and also within a patient’s home if the patient is housebound.
