Facilities

In the Outpatients department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital you will find the Blue Skies shop that sells a wide range of newspapers, magazines, confectionery, sandwiches and other items that may be useful for both patients and visitors.

The department also has special volunteers who will be happy to take you to your destination within the hospital. The department has a number of reception and waiting areas that have been designed to make your wait as comfortable as possible. It also provides a children’s play area and a health education zone, where you can pick up a variety of leaflets.

The orthopaedic outpatients department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital was recently refurbished to provide modern facilities and an improved environment for patients. It has a play area for children, state-of-the-art X-ray and patient information systems, disabled toilets and a baby changing facility. The Outpatients department is a very busy area and for reasons of safety, we cannot provide supervision of children. This includes children accompanying you when you are the patient.

Blackpool Victoria Hospital also has a large restaurant, bistro and coffee lounge for staff and visitors to use, plus a Costa coffee cafe, WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and Lloyds pharmacy at its main entrance near the multi-storey car park.
