Occupational Health can provide impartial medical advice on absence management and medical conditions that may be caused or aggravated by work. We can advise on the best ways of helping people back into work.
We can advise about the implications of the Equality Act 2010. Certain conditions are automatically covered under the remit of the Equality Act 2010 which means the employers need to make reasonable adjustments to enable employees to work. Examples of this could include toilets, signs, steps, ventilation or lighting.
We can also provide advice and guidance to enable employees to return to work following absence. This will make the process as smooth as possible for the employer and member of staff. We can arrange face to face or over the phone consultations if appropriate.
We can offer advice on:
- Phased returns
- Workplace adjustments
- Fitness to work
- Case management
- Fitness to attend disciplinary meetings
- Long-term absences
- Ill health retirement.
We are able to offer online or paper referrals dependent on your departmental needs. We provide comprehensive reports from our Occupational Health advisors, physician or Consultant where appropriate.
