Library Opening Hours:
Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm
24 hour access to the Library is available to all registered users of the Library. Access outside normal opening hours is by ID badge. In order to arrange the necessary activation of your Trust ID badge to allow entry, please contact the Library staff .

Membership of the Library is open to:
All staff employed by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and NHS staff working across the Fylde coast employed by Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. Also, students on placement from the various universities.
- Joining the Library NHS staff: Bring your trust ID badge and ask for a registration form at the library counter. Non NHS staff: An annual membership fee of £50.00 is payable upon registration. Please contact us for further details.Terms of Membership and Privacy Policy and also the Library's Rules and Regulations.
- Computers and Internet access
As long as you have a Trust username and password you can use the Library computers to access the internet; use a variety of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; and print, e-mail or scan documents. There is a 5p charge for black and white printing and 25p for colour. - Borrowing (books, CDs, DVDs)
All registered users are entitled to borrow up to 10 items for a period of four weeks. You may renew items via the online catalogue or by telephone. Fines are charged for late returns. Items may be returned to the Library desk during opening hours or placed in the book return bin when the Library is closed. - Requesting items
If we don't hold a particular book or journal, you may request it using the online form. A small charge may be payable for this service. Students of the Universities of Liverpool or Central Lancashire (UCLan) can also obtain books from their university libraries free of charge. Please ask staff for details when placing your request. - Request a literature search
If you would like our Clinical Librarian to carry out a literature search please complete this form. - Photocopying
The Library has a photocopier for self-service photocopying, at 5p per copy. Copying may be charged to your department by agreement with the budget-holder only. The Library displays guidelines for copying which must be adhered to.

There are strict rules which affect the way in which you are entitled to reproduce copyright material such as books, reports, magazines and journals.
Before making any copies of copyright material please read this guidance.
It is a legal responsibility of both the Trust and the individual to ensure that the Copyright Law is not infringed.
