Booking to use a PC:-
Computers will be available to use in the Library IT Training room, advance booking will be required. Contact the Library staff on 01253 953831 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request a 2hr slot.
You will be able to return books that you have on loan using the book return box that will be situated outside the main library door.
If you would like to borrow a book this will need to be pre-arranged with staff and collected during the agreed time slot.
All items currently on loan will be automatically renewed until Tuesday 6th April 2021. Any fines accrued during the Library’s closed period will be waived.
New collection of eBooks
HEE has invested in a collection of eBooks for staff working in the NHS. To access this new collection select 'Blackpool Teaching Hospitals' from the drop down list and then log in with your OpenAthens account.

We now have access to BMJ Best Practice. BMJ Best Practice is a clinical support tool that takes you quickly and accurately to the latest evidence based information, whenever and wherever you need it. (If you are using a Trust PC, there is no need to log in).
To access this resource from home click here and select the OpenAthens button, log in with your OpenAthens credentials. You can also choose to register for a free personal account, with a personal account you can download the BMJ Best Practice APP and track your CME/CPD activity. See the guide on 'how to get started'.

iPads for Loan
The Library has two iPads that are available for loan for a period of one week at a time. The iPads can be borrowed for work, educational and recreational use. There is no charge to borrow an iPad but you must be a member of the Library.
