Coronary Care Unit

The Coronary Care Unit is a 7 bedded high dependency area caring for patients following an acute heart attack/heart rhythm disturbance/acute heart failure/primary angioplasty and other cardiac conditions. All patients are under the care of a consultant cardiologist.

We are a small team of enthusiastic and dedicated nurses and we aim to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible as being in a high dependency area can be stressful – there is alot of monitoring equipment and noisy alarms, we will provide you and your family/close friends with support and guidance.

We have a small relatives room which can be used by family and friends.

Mealtimes for the patients are between 08:15 -09:00, 12:15 – 13:00 and 17:15-18:00

Ward Visiting: 2pm – 4pm, 6pm – 8 pm. Monday – Sunday. Max. 3 visitors per patient. Other visiting by arrangement, depending on patient condition.
