Infection Prevention

Patients in hospital are at particular risk of developing infections. National estimates suggest that one in nine patients may pick up an infection during their hospital stay.

At Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, we are determined to minimise this risk by asking all staff, patients and visitors to adhere to the highest possible standards of hygiene at all times.
