In a busy hospital, you may need time for reflection in an environment that offers peace and quiet. At Blackpool Victoria Hospital we have a chapel, and a prayer room which are open each day.
Both are located just off the main corridor, near the medical wards, in Area 3. There is another prayer room on the ground floor of the Cardiac Centre, Area 12 with ablution facilities for ritual washing.
Everyone is welcome to use our chapel and prayer rooms; you don’t have to be religious. There is also a prayer board where requests for prayer may be left.
Prayer and Holy Communion are also offered to patients at the bedside.
A short service of Holy Communion is held in the chapel Wednesday lunchtimes at 12 o’clock. All are welcome to attend.
Muslim prayers are held each Friday in Blackpool Victoria Hospital, times as displayed in prayer room. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated each month, times are advertised in the chapel.
