Family Nurse Partnership

Family Nurse Partnership

What is the Family Nurse Partnership?

The Family Nurse Partnership is a voluntary home-visiting programme for first time young mums aged 19 and under, and their partners.

Specially trained family nurses will visit the young mums regularly from early in pregnancy until the child is two years old working on different aspects of parenting including parent-child attachment, child development and school readiness. The programme also helps improve mothers’ self-confidence, mental health, anxiety and housing.

The programme aims to enable young mums to have a healthier pregnancy, improve their child’s health and development and plan their own futures.
