Emergency Department entrance
The Emergency Department forms part of the hospital’s urgent care services.
The unit features facilities in modern surroundings, designed to enhance patient care. It is located on Whinney Heys Road and is easily identifiable by the clock tower that stands at the entrance to the department.
Car parking is restricted but there is a short stay car park in front of the building. Buses going to and from Blackpool stop to the right of the building and the nearest railway station is half a mile away at Layton.
Emergency care at Blackpool Victoria Hospital recently received a £2,785,000 boost from the Government, which is being used to create an Emergency Village and new Critical Care programme to develop a world class service for patients across the Fylde coast.
